The following letter was sent to our donor list in mid-December 2014.
Dear Health Connect Donor,
It was a beautiful October morning when Health Connect celebrated its 13th annual Family Health & Safety Festival at First Presbyterian Church. Along with University of Sioux Falls and Augustana College nursing students, Delta Dental, Sanford Health, and Phil Baker, we gave children and families an opportunity to learn about hand washing, tooth decay, internet safety, and so much more. Not to mention that we also treated the families to a free healthy lunch, fun exercise, and entertainment.
Since you cannot see their smiling faces, I am writing to tell you how wonderful it was to see them laugh and smile while learning, and how thankful we are that your donations have made this event possible. Your contribution is greatly appreciated, but the need is still great in our community.
Each year, Health Connect reaches thousands of children and families by providing free health resources to help them understand health concerns and issues. Without donations like yours, however, this community resource center will not have the necessary funds to keep operating.
Our hope is to raise an additional $20,000 over the next twelve months. A one-time, year-end financial gift from you will be a big help in reaching our goals. There are several levels of participation and every penny counts.
- A $20 donation will provide for an outreach educational activity
- A $50 donation will provide nutrition support at the 2015 Family Health & Safety Festival
- A $100 donation will cover exhibiting expenses for one non-profit at the 2015 Family Health & Safety Festival
And if you’d like to be an event sponsor at the 2015 Family Health & Safety Festival in September, please let us know, we would be happy to send out an informational brochure.
These services bring so much joy and needed support to our children and families across all of South Dakota, but without you, it just wouldn’t be possible.
Thank you so much for your support.
Consider donating to Health Connect of South Dakota this year as well!
